Vote Blue to Go Green in Grove
October 9, 2007Grove ward residents are shocked at the lack of recycling facilities for household waste. As such, the local Conservative Party has contacted hundreds of residents to find out what they think of their recycling facilities.
Despite the need for Kingston to recycle more (to save the environment and tax payers money going on astronomical landfill costs), recycling and composting rates combined have actually fallen in Kingston over the last two years under the Liberal Democrat Administration.
Conservative Councils have a record of reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill sites and therefore reducing the amount of taxes charged to residents and helping the environment. Weekly recycling is a policy we called for at the last Local Elections and are glad the Liberal Democrats have come to our way of thinking, but we will continue to fight for a weekly collection of everyday household waste.
